Exploring Possible Futures
For Meta, we developed a series of illustration explorations inspired by themes such as the environment, retrofuturism, and future imaginaries. The project aimed to expand the limits of imagination, inviting users into visual worlds filled with possibility and discovery.
Across different sections of the app, the illustrations introduce moments of surprise, immersive experiences where the unexpected feels intuitive. This led to a bold visual language defined by vibrant colors, organic forms, and surreal compositions that gently challenge conventional logic.
Nature and retrofuturism became key influences: fluid shapes and natural tones suggest a balance between technology and the environment, while nostalgic references to the future blend past aesthetics with speculative visions.
Together, these playful and surreal worlds encourage exploration and reflect Meta’sforward-looking spirit
